Direct Service Volunteer

About the role

Make a difference by providing companionship and support to patients and families during life’s most important moments. Volunteer opportunities are available in home care, respite, inpatient, and bereavement settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and families
• Assist with light housekeeping, errands, and respite care for caregivers
• Answer phones and assemble informational packets
• Participate in sitting vigil when needed

Requirements

• A caring heart and a desire to serve others
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
• Ability to meet basic health and safety requirements
