Direct Service Volunteer

About the role

Make a meaningful impact by joining our compassionate hospice care team. Volunteers provide comfort, care, and support to patients and families during life’s most important moments across home care, respite, inpatient, and bereavement settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and families.
• Assist with light housekeeping, errands, and respite care for caregivers.
• Answer phones, assemble informational packets, and perform administrative tasks as needed.
• Participate in vigil sitting when required.

Requirements

• A caring heart and a desire to serve others.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
• Ability to meet basic health and safety requirements.
