About the role
The Direct Sales Agent Specialist is responsible for driving sales growth by engaging with interested prospective customers, connecting through inbound calls and proactive outbound calls with active insurance shoppers, enjoying competitive compensation with a base salary + uncapped performance-based incentives, and selling reputable products from Allstate and its family of brands.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth by engaging with interested prospective customers
- No cold calling—Connect through inbound calls and proactive outbound calls with active insurance shoppers
- Sell reputable products from Allstate and its family of brands
- Understand customers' needs to build rapport and trust
- Build and retain a book of business within the market / retail location
- Achieve business goals by driving new business sales and cross-selling existing customers
- Generate new customers and cross-sell existing customers in support of product offerings including Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance
Requirements
- 0 – 2 years of experience
- P&C licensing (Preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company
Preferred Skills and Competencies
- Successfully closes sales of insurance and ancillary products
- Maintains and exceeds sales goals through new product sales, cross-sell / retention of customers
- Leverages community contacts to build a sales pipeline and establish referral sources
- Initiates outbound calling to established target customer base for product offerings
- Monitors key competitors in the local market area and suggests improvements
- Works with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes
- Delivers optimal results within appropriate metrics, including quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, customer satisfaction, and financial performance
- Understands and remains current on company underwriting guidelines, announcements, and memos related to changes in company policies and procedures
- Receives customer payments, issues receipts, and verifies reports of receipts for cash drawers

Compensation
- Base compensation: $20.00 per hour
- Total Compensation: In addition to the base hourly rate, total compensation includes incentive pay, such as commissions and bonuses, based on individual and team performance.
