About the Role

Prosper is seeking a Direct Marketing Manager to lead creative strategy, campaign testing, and full end-to-end production execution for our Credit Card direct mail portfolio. Reporting directly to the Director of Direct Mail Strategy & Analytics, you will take direct ownership of our Credit Card direct response engine, working alongside our Senior Manager to manage our growing direct mail footprint and scale nationwide promotions for our flagship Credit Card Products.

We are looking for an innovative, data-driven marketer who blends creative strategy with rigorous production execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, development, and rotation of Credit Card direct mail creative assets.
  • Design and execute multi-variant test matrices to continuously optimize response, approval, and pull-through rates.
  • Manage end-to-end print and mail production, overseeing lettershop execution, data file transfers, variable data printing (VDP), postage optimization, and deployment schedules across all Credit Card streams.
  • Serve as the primary operational link with external creative agencies, print vendors, and lettershops to ensure campaign deliverables are produced efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time.
  • Establish rigorous proofing, sampling, and audit controls across complex variable data streams to guarantee 100% execution accuracy.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Risk to ensure all pre-screen disclosures, credit terms, and FCRA requirements are flawlessly maintained across every printed variant.
  • Partner with Analytics to track key performance metrics and leverage campaign results to inform future creative and production decisions.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of direct marketing experience in financial services or consumer lending, with hands-on expertise in both creative development and direct mail production management.
  • Deep working knowledge of direct mail production processes, including digital/offset printing, variable data printing (VDP), postal regulations, and lettershop operations.
  • Experience writing or evaluating high-converting direct response copy, managing agency partners, and running multi-variant matrix testing.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a proven track record of managing zero-defect campaigns in a highly regulated credit environment.
  • Proficient in Excel, JIRA, and Confluence, with strong project management skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

    Focus: Taking ownership of tasks, contributing to ongoing projects, and working with increasing independence under manager guidance.
  • By 90 Days: Strategic Independence & Executive Partnership
    Focus: Full autonomous authority, strategic roadmap execution, cross-functional leadership, and executive partnership.

Pay

$148,000 - $184,000 a year, plus bonus and generous benefits. In determining your salary, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
