Direct Care Worker – Washington County | Multiple Positions Open!

About the role

Anova Health Care Services, Inc. is seeking multiple Direct Care Workers (DCWs) for positions in Washington County, PA. This role involves supporting consumers with everyday tasks to help them remain safely and comfortably in their own homes.

Responsibilities

• Support consumers with the everyday tasks that let them stay safely and comfortably in their own homes, following a care plan built by the staff coordinator.
• Plan and prepare meals that fit each consumer's dietary needs.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks to keep the home safe and comfortable, including bed linens, dusting, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, and laundry.
• Provide personal care with dignity, such as bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, hair care, and toileting.
• Assist with walking and movement using walkers or other aids.
• Offer companionship that matters, such as reading together, taking walks, and attending appointments.
• Make grocery runs and handle errands as needed.
• Report any changes in a consumer's condition to the staff coordinator.
• Work with supervision and backup provided by the agency team.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Reliable transportation to and from assignments.
• The physical ability to handle the daily tasks of the role.
• Read, write, understand, and speak English.
• Mature, responsible judgment and a real respect for consumer privacy.
• Willingness to complete the employment process and follow the care plan.

Qualifications

• Physical ability to perform the required tasks.
• Experience and skills necessary to perform the job effectively.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Basic computer skills for scheduling and documentation.

Reimbursement is based on experience, and hours are flexible around your availability and patient needs. Clients are located throughout Washington County and neighboring counties, with efforts to match DCWs with clients nearby.
