Tucson, AZ office office Direct Care Worker (DCW) Trainer – CNA Required Dependable Health Services – Tucson, AZ Help Train the Caregivers Who Make a Difference Every Day Dependable Health Services is seeking an experienced, dependable, and engaging Direct Care Worker (DCW) Trainer to join our Tucson team. This position is responsible for training and preparing Direct Care Workers to provide safe, compassionate, and quality care to clients in their homes. The DCW Trainer will provide classroom and hands-on instruction, conduct skills testing and competency evaluations, maintain accurate training records, and help ensure caregivers meet company and program requirements before providing care. Candidates must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Arizona. What You'll Do Conduct new-hire Direct Care Worker training and orientationProvide classroom and hands-on instruction on required DCW skillsDemonstrate proper techniques for personal care, transfers, mobility, infection control, safety, and other activities of daily livingConduct skills demonstrations, return demonstrations, testing, and competency evaluationsProvide CPR/First Aid or other training when appropriately certifiedEvaluate caregiver understanding and readiness to safely provide servicesProvide additional coaching or retraining when neededMaintain accurate records of training, testing, competencies, and certificationsTrack required training and assist with ensuring employee credentials remain currentWork closely with DCW Coordinators, clinical staff, onboarding, and other team membersAssist with orientation and onboarding of new Direct Care WorkersHelp ensure training practices remain consistent with company policies and applicable program requirementsCreate a welcoming and supportive learning environment for new and existing caregivers What We're Looking For Current Arizona CNA certification – REQUIREDPrevious experience working as a CNA, DCW, caregiver, or in home carePrevious training, teaching, preceptor, or staff-development experience preferredStrong knowledge of personal care, infection prevention, patient safety, transfers, and activities of daily livingComfortable demonstrating and evaluating hands-on caregiving skillsExcellent communication and presentation skillsPatient and encouraging when working with individuals with different levels of experienceStrong organizational and documentation skillsDependable and able to manage training schedules and deadlinesExperience with ALTCS, DDD, home care, or Direct Care Worker programs is a plus Be Part of Building a Strong Caregiving Team Great care starts with great training.
