Direct Care Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Provides a high level of quality care to individuals while ensuring that each individual is treated with respect and dignity.
• Improves the quality of life for each individual by assisting them in learning to live and function as independently as possible in their home and community.
• Oversees and handles the day-to-day activities of the Community Home.
• Directly supervises all house staff.
• Functions as a Residential Companion and is part of the direct care team.

Schedule

• Week 1: 7am to 3pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday
• Week 2: 7am to 3pm Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma/GED and three (3) years’ experience working in a human service or related field
• Current driver’s license
• Obtain a Medication Administration Certification within 6 months of hire
• First Aid/CPR certified within 6 months of hire

Preferred:

• Associate Degree or equivalent credits (60) and 2 years of experience working in a human service, Special Education or related field
• Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year experience working in a human service or related field
• Supervisory experience and knowledge of 6400, 6500, and/or 2380 regulations (or equivalent regulations)
