Direct Care Program Assistant

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED
• A current, valid Driver’s License
• Good communication skills (oral and written)
• Good organizational skills
• Six months of experience with individuals who have IDD
• A Community Participation Certificate is a plus

Responsibilities

• Direct care and program assistance in assigned area
• Assist participants with skills of daily living such as toileting, eating, and other personal hygiene
• Document participants' daily attendance
• Implement goal plans and provide guidance in social, recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities
• Assist participants on skill-building out in the community
• Drive company vehicles
• Keep storage areas and work areas clean and properly arranged
• Perform special assignments as directed and related work as required
