Job Description

Direct Care Monitors are responsible for:

  • Maintains and observes clients, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Provides motivational support and guidance to assist clients in meeting therapeutic goals
  • Reports client observations and contributes to treatment decisions concerning therapy, discipline, and privileges
  • Makes sure clients are properly medicated and collects urine samples for laboratory screening and administers breathalyzer tests for alcohol use
  • Schedules and coordinates client transportation, assists in planning client interactive events, and more
  • Ensures security for the medical building

Job Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • All work experience is encouraged to apply
  • Experience in corrections, security guard, security officer, home health aide (HHA), direct support professional (DSP), caregiver, or substance abuse counseling is a plus
  • Valid driver's license in state of residence and good driving record required
  • Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk or move about facilities for up to two hours at a time
  • Ability to speak with others in order to exchange information and provide support
  • Ability to proofread and check documents and files for accuracy on a regular basis
  • Ability to respond to telephones and pages, and to hear and detect alarms and unusual noises

Hours

1:30PM - 10:00PM
5 Days per week (this may include weekends)

Compensation Range

Starting pay rate of $19.00 per hour
