Lifesteps, a local human service agency with over 100 years of experience, is hiring compassionate staff to work with adults who have disabilities in a residential home setting in Pittsburgh, PA.

About the role

Direct Care Aides (Caregivers) assist individuals with special needs in their activities of daily living and home care. This includes helping adults with disabilities with daily tasks such as dressing, meal preparation, bathing, and transportation to doctor appointments.

Responsibilities

• Cooking and serving meals
• Cleaning the house
• Shopping for groceries and supplies
• Personal care assistance like grooming or bathing
• Medication administration
• Assisting with individual goal attainment
• Community outings and fun activities

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Ability to lift up to 200 lbs. with assistance
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances

Schedule

Steady, full-time hours available with the following shift:

• Overnights: 11 pm to 7 am

Part-time hours are also available with flexible scheduling to fit your needs, ideal for additional income or a second job.
