Direct Care Aide
About the role
The Home Assistance Program seeks caring, compassionate individuals to provide assistance or cueing and supervision to members living in their own homes in the Norwood area. Daytime shifts are available, 7 days a week, with weekends and holidays having a differential pay rate. Starting pay is $22 per visit, increasing to $23.50 for weekend and holiday shifts. The program works in partnership with an RN and Social Worker/Case Manager.
Responsibilities
- Assistance with personal care
- Light housekeeping
- Laundry
- Shopping
- Meal prep, if needed
Requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Sincere desire to assist members with their ADLs
- Good communication skills
- Experience in the healthcare field, especially in homecare and/or working with adults with a medical or mental health diagnosis
- No CNA license required if experience is present
Qualifications
- Candidates must pass CORI and CPS (child protective services) background checks
- Bi-lingual English/Portuguese speaking candidates are encouraged to apply
