Direct Care Aide
About the role
The Home Assistance Program seeks caring, compassionate individuals to provide assistance or cueing and supervision to members living in their own homes in the New Bedford area. Daytime shifts are offered, 7 days a week with weekends and holidays having a differential pay rate.
Responsibilities
- Assistance with personal care
- Light housekeeping
- Laundry, shopping
- Meal prep, if needed
Requirements
- Flexible shifts suitable for parents or students
- Reliable transportation
- Sincere desire to assist members with ADLs
- Good communication skills
- Experience in homecare and/or working with adults with medical or mental health diagnoses (preferred)
- No CNA license required if experience is present
Qualifications
- Candidates must pass CORI and CPS background checks
- Bi-lingual English/Portuguese speaking candidates encouraged to apply
Benefits
- $20 per visit
- $21.50 on weekends and holidays

Skills
- Experience in healthcare field
- Experience in providing homecare and/or working with adults with medical or mental health diagnoses (preferred)
