Direct Care 1 - 30 Hours

About the role

Make a real difference every day. At RTR, you'll work alongside a supportive interdisciplinary team to empower adults with developmental disabilities to build independence, confidence, and life skills in a Day Habilitation setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and group support based on individualized service plans
• Help individuals develop skills in communication, self-care, and daily living
• Implement care plans developed by clinical teams (OT, PT, Speech, Nursing, Behavioral)
• Track progress and complete clear, professional documentation
• Serve as a positive role model, promoting safe and respectful environments
• Collaborate with team members, families, and community partners
• Support community engagement, including transportation and activities
• Aid in hands-on care needs, including mobility and dietary support
• Deliver engaging in-person and virtual programming

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet
• Successful completion of all state and agency mandated trainings
• Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions
• Tuberculosis screening within the previous 12 months

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Able to write routine reports and correspondence
• Able to communicate effectively with individuals under supervision, employees of the organization, families, and members of the community
