About the role
Oversee development of Advance Pricing Agreements and Transfer Price Studies for CMSU, CMRU and CMI for IRS.
Responsible for quarterly and annual reporting of tax financial results for US Medical Companies under GAAP rules ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes) and ASC 740-10 (Uncertain Tax Positions).
Oversee Tax Earnings and Profits studies (for tax basis and dividend purposes).
Maintain appropriate tax accounting and reconciliation records.
Responsible for tax planning related to company mergers, acquisitions and divestiture.
Monitor and support the sales, use and property tax function under the supervision of the Manager Sales Tax.
Oversee and manage IRS and state tax audit process, and negotiate with IRS and state auditors.
Oversee and manage sales, use and property tax audits with state and local auditors.
Supervise other tax department staff.
Develop and make recommendations regarding tax policies, planning and strategy for US Medical companies.
Advises Medical Companies management on significant federal and state tax law and regulation developments, proactively modeling legislative impacts and recommending courses of action.
Implement tax systems and methods as needed for new tax laws.
Implement required internal controls and maintain audit assessment preventative procedures in accordance with SOX.
Perform various tax related analysis and accounting functions.
Represent Canon Medical Companies to audit firms, government agencies and industry meetings.
Extensive experience in tax laws and rules including multi-state sales tax.
Proficient in MS Word/Excel.
Onesource Tax return and provision software.
CCH Tax Research Software.
Experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle and Vertex).
Excellent communication, problem solving, planning and analytical skills.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, preferably over multiple functions.
4 Year Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
15 years' experience performing the above functions and five years supervisory experience required.
15+ years' experience performing the above functions and seven years supervisory experience preferred.
Pay
Min Salary $155,900 to Max Salary $251,000 (annual equivalency) plus bonus potential; DOE
