About the role

AWS is seeking experienced and motivated leaders to coach, grow, and partner with technically skilled, customer-facing Solutions Architects.

Responsibilities

• Enable and coach Solutions Architects on best practices, solution selling, presentation, and speaking skills.
• Drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers by collaborating with sales teams.
• Develop and mentor a team of Solutions Architects, ensuring they have the necessary skills to design and deploy complex cloud solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within customer accounts to foster their adoption of AWS solutions.
• Collaborate with other departments within AWS, including services teams, marketing, and professional services, to provide guidance and support.
• Represent the team to executive management and contribute to thought leadership initiatives.

Requirements

• 15+ years of design/implementation/consulting experience of distributed applications.
• 10+ years of management experience of technical, customer-facing resources.
• Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
• Modern cloud platform skills.
• Computer Science or relevant degree and/or experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with customers or similar roles.
• Experience leading large architecture teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
• History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises.
• Familiarity with common enterprise services.
• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
• Strong written communication skills.
• High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations.
• AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
