About the role

The Director of Health Information Management Services directs the activities of the HIM department, ensuring the management and maintenance of all patient medical records in compliance with state and federal laws, licensing-agency rules, and TJC standards for quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the management and maintenance of all patient medical records information.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws, rules, and regulations of licensing agencies.
• Maintain compliance with TJC standards for the quality of patient care.

Requirements

• Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).
• Associate’s degree in a related field with a minimum of three years’ supervisory experience in health information management.

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Eight to ten years of experience with a Master’s degree in a related field.
• Direct experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility.
