About the role
This position will lead the Radiological Control Program for the Nuclear Propulsion Engineering organization. A candidate will ensure that all applicable RadCon procedures and requirements are followed to ensure radiological safety for NNS personnel and the environment. A candidate must be knowledgeable of NAVSEA radiological control requirements as well.
Responsibilities
- A candidate will ensure that all applicable RadCon procedures and requirements are followed to ensure radiological safety for NNS personnel and the environment.
- A candidate must be knowledgeable of NAVSEA radiological control requirements as well.
- This candidate will also be closely governed by applicable government and Navy regulations concerning radiological control.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and direct the work of others is required.
Requirements
- Must Have BS in Engineering and 10 years engineering experience OR MS in Engineering and 8 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Candidate's degree must be from an ABET accredited program in the school of engineering.
Qualifications
- Sound leadership, managerial, and communication skills.
- Excellent human relations and communication skills.
- Close interaction with various internal and external customers on a frequent basis.
Skills
- Knowledge of NAVSEA radiological control requirements.
- Ability to manage and direct the work of others.
