About the role

This position will lead the Radiological Control Program for the Nuclear Propulsion Engineering organization. A candidate will ensure that all applicable RadCon procedures and requirements are followed to ensure radiological safety for NNS personnel and the environment. A candidate must be knowledgeable of NAVSEA radiological control requirements as well.

Responsibilities

• A candidate will ensure that all applicable RadCon procedures and requirements are followed to ensure radiological safety for NNS personnel and the environment.
• A candidate must be knowledgeable of NAVSEA radiological control requirements as well.
• This candidate will also be closely governed by applicable government and Navy regulations concerning radiological control.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and direct the work of others is required.

Requirements

• Must Have BS in Engineering and 10 years engineering experience OR MS in Engineering and 8 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Candidate's degree must be from an ABET accredited program in the school of engineering.

Qualifications

• Sound leadership, managerial, and communication skills.
• Excellent human relations and communication skills.
• Close interaction with various internal and external customers on a frequent basis.

Skills

• Knowledge of NAVSEA radiological control requirements.
• Ability to manage and direct the work of others.
