Dinner Train Reservationist - Bardstown, KY

Responsibilities

• Serves as customer service for call-ins requesting to book or needing information
• Reviews upcoming excursion availability and special requests
• Aids in building seating charts for excursions
• Completes seating charts for each excursion considering customer requests, assistance needs, group sizes, wait staff capacity, add-on purchases, special occasions, etc.
• Aids in handling ticketing at the depot, making boarding announcements, charging walk-ons, notifying the kitchen of changes/additions, checking depot readiness, turning on depot music, cleaning up after guests board, etc.
• Receives, charges, packages, and ships orders for Golden Spike Dressing and other gift shop sales like model train sales
• Maintains a file of filled orders by order date
• Collaborates with Group Sales & Guest Relations Manager on all aspects of group sales including greeting buses, reviewing spreadsheets, sending information to groups, etc.
• Attends weekly and monthly staff meetings to discuss safety, upcoming events, and service issues
• Communicates customer requests for additional unscheduled runs and other requests to management

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
• Proficiency with computers and software, particularly Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of train operations and depot procedures
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
