Dining Services Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat residents and guests
  • Oversee dining services staff in the absence of the Manager
  • Maintain a pleasant and clean dining environment
  • Ensure smooth and timely opening and closing of the dining room
  • Ensure room service orders are delivered timely and properly
  • Ensure meals are palatable and appetizing in appearance
  • Inspect work to ensure completion
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards
  • Plan daily menu for residents in accordance with company standards and procedures
  • Affords daily supervision of dining services associates
  • Affords resident billing of food services charges
  • Assists Manager with daily supervision of dining services associates
  • Works with Dining Room Manager to produce weekly schedules with budgetary guidelines for service staff
  • Affords supervision for special events
  • Consults with the Director, Dining Services, to hire, train, discipline, and terminate departmental employees in accordance with company policy
  • Develops and maintains good working rapport with inter-department personnel
  • Ensures proper staffing coverage for each shift including making changes due to absences
  • Provides supervision for special events

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years related experience
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Current ServSafe Certification required
