Dining Services Supervisor
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat residents and guests
- Oversee dining services staff in the absence of the Manager
- Maintain a pleasant and clean dining environment
- Ensure smooth and timely opening and closing of the dining room
- Ensure room service orders are delivered timely and properly
- Ensure meals are palatable and appetizing in appearance
- Inspect work to ensure completion
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards
- Plan daily menu for residents in accordance with company standards and procedures
- Affords daily supervision of dining services associates
- Affords resident billing of food services charges
- Assists Manager with daily supervision of dining services associates
- Works with Dining Room Manager to produce weekly schedules with budgetary guidelines for service staff
- Affords supervision for special events
- Consults with the Director, Dining Services, to hire, train, discipline, and terminate departmental employees in accordance with company policy
- Develops and maintains good working rapport with inter-department personnel
- Ensures proper staffing coverage for each shift including making changes due to absences
- Provides supervision for special events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years related experience
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Current ServSafe Certification required
