Dining Service Coordinator / Cook SHIFT FRIDAY - SUNDAY 6a - 6p Be a Part of Something Meaningful Camp Baer is seeking dedicated Dining Service Coordinator / Cook to support our mission of providing quality, holistic behavioral health and substance use recovery services. In this role, you’ll contribute to the overall well-being of our clients by preparing and serving nutritious meals that promote healing in a respectful, welcoming environment. What You’ll Do Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner in alignment with dietary guidelines and client-specific needsCoordinate with the Dietitian to plan menus and order food based on census and dietary requirementsMonitor and document all food, refrigerator, freezer, and water temperatures dailyMaintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment including dishes, surfaces, floors, and storage areasEnsure compliance with Oklahoma food safety regulations and internal protocolsAssist with meal service, table clearing, and fostering a supportive dining atmosphereReport observed changes in client behavior or physical condition to the clinical teamPerform additional food service or housekeeping duties as assigned What You Bring Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively with othersStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with compassion for clients in recoveryComfortable reading and following recipes, menus, and health & safety protocolsRequired: West Virginia Food Handler’s Permit and ServeSafe certification or willingness to obtain both within 30 days of hirePreferred: 1+ year experience in institutional, healthcare, or residential food servicePreferred: Familiarity with sanitation practices and dietary accommodations Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs frequently and occasionally up to 50 lbsRequires standing and walking for extended periods (up to 8 hours)Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and pushing/pulling of food cartsAbility to tolerate exposure to heat, noise, steam, and cleaning chemicals in a kitchen environment Working Conditions This position works within a licensed behavioral health facility and must follow all confidentiality and infection control protocolsRequires flexibility for weekend and holiday shifts as neededMay occasionally be exposed to stressful situations or emotionally challenging interactions with clients Our Commitment Camp Baer is committed to building a team that reflects the communities we serve.
