About the role
In this role, you will oversee day-to-day service operations within specified areas of Dining Services. You will help guarantee the highest quality program for residents and ensure compliance with infection control programs and safe food handling procedures as mandated by State and Federal Codes.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead associates in providing the highest quality food and services for all residents and dining guests.
- Ensure the dining room is sanitary, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
- Ensure service stations and dining room are properly set up and ready prior to each meal.
- Train new staff in fine-dining principles, service etiquette, and other dining services skills.
- Verify that all job cards (cleaning lists and side work) are completed for each shift.
- Assign or complete the closing check-out list at the end of the shift.
- Interview, select, and hire new staff members in conjunction with the dining services leadership team and human resources.
- Discipline and terminate associates in conjunction with the dining services leadership team and human resources.
- Assist with the oversight and development of the dining services bi-weekly schedule based on the department’s budget.
- Develop meals and menus with input from the dining services leadership team and ensure clear communication to associates and residents.
- Conduct daily pre-service meetings, review daily associate assignments, menus, food ingredients (gluten-free, allergens, etc.), and communicate new policies or procedures.
- Enforce the uniform policy and temperature-control procedures.
- Monitor and document inventory and communicate needs for ordering purposes.
- Track customer satisfaction by reviewing comment cards and communicate results to the team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required; associate’s degree in food service preferred.
- Food Handler’s certificate or other required certification as specified by state guidelines.
- 3+ years in food service.

Pay
USD $22.00 – $27.00 per hour.
