Position Summary
The Dining Room Supervisor oversees the daily operation of the dining room, ensuring exceptional service and a welcoming dining experience for our residents. This role leads and supports the dining team, coordinates meal service, assists with scheduling and training, and helps maintain a clean, organized, and resident-focused dining environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily dining room operations and ensure smooth, timely meal service.
- Lead, coach, and motivate dining room servers to provide exceptional customer service.
- Create and manage server schedules.
- Assign responsibilities and clearly communicate expectations to team members.
- Take resident meal and beverage orders accurately and ensure preferences are met.
- Assist with seating residents and create a warm, welcoming dining experience.
- Cook service between the kitchen and dining room to ensure efficient food delivery.
- Assist with dining room and kitchen setup and cleanup before and after meals.
- Deliver room service trays to residents as requested.
- Assist with kitchen helper and dishwasher duties when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the dining areas.
- Foster a positive team environment while ensuring residents receive exceptional hospitality and service.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a restaurant, hospitality, hotel, country club, or senior living dining environment is required.
- At least 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience is required.
- Experience scheduling staff and leading front-of-house operations.
- Valid Arizona Food Handler Card.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Passion for serving seniors and creating an exceptional dining experience.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to perform job duties.
- Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback.
- Ability to obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
