Responsibilities

• Take resident(s) meal orders and serve meals correctly and efficiently using exceptional customer service techniques.
• Complete various tasks to ensure the dining room and kitchen areas are fully stocked and prepared to serve residents.
• Assist with set up and cleaning of kitchen and dining room before and after each meal.
• Deliver trays to rooms of residents who request room service.
• Perform all kitchen helper and dishwasher duties as needed.
• Assist in seating residents.
• Supervise servers to ensure safe and timely delivery of meals.
• Communicate assignments clearly to staff.
• Demonstrate ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to fulfill job requirements.

Requirements

• Valid Food Handlers Permit
• Minimum two (2) years of full table service experience
• Supervisory experience: trains, directs, and schedules food servers
• Ability to work in a team environment and flexible shifts
• Effective communication in English to receive food or drink orders and give responses
• Must enjoy working with the elderly and be able to accept constructive criticism
• Proven ability to understand and demonstrate responsible behavior

ServSafe Certification is a plus.
