Responsibilities
- Assists the Culinary Services Director in the recruitment, interviewing, selection, and termination of department staff and documents and coordinates such actions.
- Helps create and execute effective staffing and schedule patterns within Sonida Senior Living guidelines.
- Promotes positive employee relations by facilitating an atmosphere of open communication and problem-solving; identifies and resolves issues of employee dissatisfaction or conflict in as appropriate and timely manner and in accordance with Sonida Senior Living personnel policies.
- Safeguards the safety and security of residents and employees.
- Ensures that all department staff follow established policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- At least 1-3 years’ experience of Food Service Supervision in a hospital, hotel, healthcare, or senior living environment.
- Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the Food Service Department.
- Ability to lead, direct and mentor a large staff.
