Dining Room Attendant (Hiring more than one)
This is a part-time, non-exempt, hourly position limited to 1,500 hours in a 365-day period and does not entitle the incumbent to Commonwealth of Virginia benefits. The selected candidate will be required to attend a 2-day New Employee Orientation Program and must work a flexible schedule.

Purpose of the Position
This position maintains the cleanliness of the dining room, checks and scans student I.D. cards, and processes various forms of payment. The role ensures all front-of-house equipment is functioning properly and that supplies are stocked, reporting shortages to the FOH manager. The position also monitors patrons entering and exiting the facility.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining room.
- Check and scan I.D. cards of students and process other forms of payment.
- Ensure all front-of-house equipment is operational.
- Monitor and restock supplies, reporting shortages to the FOH manager.
- Monitor students and other patrons entering and exiting the facility.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education/experience.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with patrons and co-workers.
- Ability to handle all forms of payments, including cash and POS systems.
- Flexible schedule availability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a high-volume restaurant or fast food environment.
- Experience with financial transactions, including cash handling and POS systems.
- Customer service experience.
- Experience implementing or adhering to safety procedures.
- Knowledge of sanitation protocols and cleanliness standards.
- Experience working in a university or college setting.

Pay
$15.53 to $19.41 per hour, commensurate with education and experience.
