Responsibilities
- Set up and clean up the dining room.
- Maintain a list of reservations as needed.
- Participate in special community events (e.g., health fairs, holiday luncheons).
- Comply with federal and state program, health, and safety regulations.
- Assist with assembling and portioning food as needed.
- Explain the program and contribution system to first-time attendees.
- Encourage participant interest in available programming.
- Handle difficult participants with respect and effectiveness.
- Orient and oversee volunteers regarding meal program regulations.
- Effectively and respectfully encourage contributions, adhering to all agency, state, and federal guidelines.
- Understand and respectfully enforce program eligibility requirements.
- Educate participants on the importance of their voluntary contributions.
- Ensure proper cash handling policies and procedures are followed; forward contributions to the Finance Department for deposit.
Reporting
- Prepare participant attendance, financial, and meal count reports and other records according to program requirements.
- Follow data collection guidelines to ensure proper collection of required information for funding sources and agency guidelines when signing up participants.
- Thoroughly input, complete, and submit all required paperwork accurately, legibly, and in a timely manner, following agency guidelines.
- Compile meal participation statistics, including the number of meals served.
- Submit a monthly report to the Aging Coordinator.
Schedule
25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
