Digital Workplace Specialist
Purpose Of Position
Amalgamated Bank is on an exciting digital transformation journey and is seeking a Digital Workplace Specialist to drive this initiative. The role involves serving as the primary internal champion for enterprise platform adoption, starting with the bank-wide Slack rollout and expanding to other digital workplace tools.
Essential Job Functions
- Serve as the day-to-day operational lead for the enterprise Slack rollout, owning the project plan, timelines, and deliverable tracking across departments.
- Act as the primary liaison between the bank and external implementation consultants, managing meeting cadence, action items, and follow-through.
- Cook up and maintain adoption dashboards and KPIs to track rollout progress, engagement metrics, and usage trends across business units.
- Identify barriers to adoption and proactively develop solutions in partnership with department leads and IT.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including process guides, training materials, FAQs, and rollout playbooks.
- Support leadership in preparing executive-level updates, presentations, and status reports on the adoption initiative.
- Monitor emerging best practices in enterprise digital adoption and recommend enhancements to the bank's approach.
- Collaborate across departments to identify and document business requirements for workflow automation and reporting needs.
- Over time, expand scope to support adoption of additional digital workplace tools (e.g., Tableau, AI-assisted workflows, agents) as the initiative evolves.
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, MIS, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, change management, business systems – preferably in the financial services industry
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- Experience tracking and reporting on platform adoption or user engagement metrics
- Experience with Slack and BI tools (e.g., Tableau)
- Proficiency in Excel
- Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and presentation — with comfort engaging senior stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay
The starting base salary for this role is between $80,000 – $100,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
Work Model
Effective February 18, 2025, employees in office-based positions will be working a Hybrid work schedule consisting of three days or more, on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.
