- Develop Conceptual surface geometry when applicable to programs that require surface construction exploration, less defined constraints, and sensitivity to rapid iterations.
- Display high proficiency by interpreting 2D sketches and renderings, clay models, or foam mockups.
- Digital models may also be based on modifications to existing 3D surface models.
- Translate Industrial Design and Engineering criteria inputs into high-quality CAD surfaces that meet requirements for digital craftsmanship standards on fit and finish.
- Maintain surface integrity through design changes and feedback loops from Engineering criteria, packaging requirements, tooling/molding requirements, specific CFD analysis feedback, and DFM or Supplier-based feedback loops.
- Balance multiple CAD projects, Data management responsibilities, and understanding engineering criteria effectively, with a strong focus on meeting program deadlines.
- Participate in Design reviews, Engineering reviews milestone gates, and overall technical program reviews.
