What's the Job?
Create high-quality surface models that effectively communicate the design intent throughout the development process, from initial concepts to production-ready surfaces. Evaluate design concepts for feasibility, surface quality, and manufacturability, providing insightful recommendations for optimization. Deliver surface models within established timelines, adhering to project milestones and quality standards. Prepare and present design reviews, showcasing surface models to cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Support surface quality evaluations to ensure the highest standards are maintained throughout the design process.
What's Needed?
- Degree in industrial design, transportation design, mechanical engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in automotive design and engineering, with a focus on prototype, advanced design development, and production development
- Proficiency in Alias software and automotive surface design best practices from concept to Class-A surfaces
- Experience with Alias Sub-D and/or Blender is preferred
- Strong understanding of product design development processes and component design for manufacturing
