About the role

The Digital Strategy Manager will sharpen and expand Shall See Theater’s digital presence to build deeper audience connections, support ticket sales, and amplify our mission. Working closely with the Director of Marketing, they will design and execute data-driven digital strategies spanning social media, paid ads, email, and web content.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement digital strategies to grow online engagement, ticket conversion, and brand recognition.
  • Plan and execute paid advertising across platforms (Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram, TikTok, YouTube), including budgeting and targeting.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align digital campaigns with seasonal programming and ticketing goals.
  • Manage content calendars and publish engaging text, image, and video content for organic social media channels.
  • Capture and produce digital assets, photos, short-form video, and graphics for promotional and archival purposes.
  • Respond to and engage with followers to nurture a vibrant online community.
  • Oversee email campaigns including segmentation, copywriting, automation, A/B testing, and performance tracking.
  • Update web content to maintain audience interest, including landing pages, blogs, and season announcements.
  • Implement website optimizations (such as SEO, accessibility, user journey), in consultation with external partners.
  • Track and report on digital KPIs (reach, engagement, conversion, CPC/CPM) using GA4 and social media analytics.
  • Analyze ad and email performance to identify growth opportunities, recommend adjustments, and test new approaches.
  • Use digital insights to support broader marketing and audience development objectives.
  • Research and integrate emerging social platforms and digital trends to bolster Shall See’s creative impact.
  • Collaborate with Education, Community Engagement, and Development teams to support digital storytelling and fundraising campaigns.
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with digital vendors, including ad agencies and content creators.

Requirements

  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English.
  • 1-3 years in digital marketing or strategy, ideally within nonprofit or performing arts settings (educational context also counts).
  • Proven experience managing paid campaigns across American and Chinese social media platforms.
  • Strong content creation skills, including basic photo/video editing and graphic design.
  • Proficiency with digital tools and analytics.
  • Strategic, data-driven mindset with the ability to guide campaign optimization.
  • Passion for storytelling, cultural equity, and mission-driven arts outreach.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration across internal teams.
  • Flexible schedule availability for occasional evenings/weekends during production cycles.
