About the Role

This is a seasoned professional role that applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge to contribute to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflows. The role requires integrating subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area, coordinating and contributing to the objectives of the function and overall business. You will evaluate moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, requiring analytical skills to filter, prioritize, and validate information from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are essential, along with the ability to assume informal or formal leadership roles within teams.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and drive mid-size feature application design and development efforts to completion, serving as a development lead on medium-scale projects and supporting larger efforts.
  • Operate with considerable autonomy and discretion, influencing application design and development through subject-specific expertise and advanced understanding of programming principles.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot coding, application performance, and design challenges, including root-cause research and defect resolution.
  • Understand technical requirements for solutions, including engineering needs for building, maintaining, and operating systems through all lifecycle phases.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in information modeling, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Understand system dependencies, including hardware, platform, operating system, performance, load requirements, and contingencies with upstream and downstream systems.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of main system flows and how systems integrate to achieve business objectives.
  • Assist in developing coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards to ensure adherence to architecture blueprints.
  • Participate in design discussions as a key decision-maker, leveraging knowledge of application code details and technology experience.
  • Turn complex application designs into well-written applications with limited guidance.
  • Partner with industry vendors to support Digital architecture, identifying opportunities to increase development velocity and learning.
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle, including test plan execution and software quality needs, while identifying dependencies between agile and waterfall delivery.
  • Influence strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel, or services, requiring strong communication and diplomacy skills.
  • Communicate progress, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and mitigate risks at multiple levels.
  • Resolve discordant views through constructive dialogue and optimize processes across teams.
  • Review metrics proactively and seek new mechanisms for visibility to align programs with organizational objectives.
  • Continuously assess development processes, test plans, and operations to improve concurrent project delivery.
  • Streamline or eliminate redundant processes in architecture, build, delivery, production operations, or business areas.
  • Share knowledge through forums (e.g., brown bags, engineering forums) and pursue industry certifications.
  • Assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, and safeguarding the firm’s reputation.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in a product development or product management environment.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; data-driven and results-oriented.
  • Experience delivering projects using agile methodologies.
  • Experience leading large-scale culture change initiatives.
  • Experience leading infrastructure programs.
  • Skilled at working with third-party service providers.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Pay

Full-time salary range: $107,120.00 - $160,680.00. In addition to salary, eligible employees may receive discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
