This role is for a seasoned professional who gains and applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined domain, requiring deep understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function and coordinate with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Devise strategy for agile testing in a complex integrated and virtualized testing environment.
- Execute and drive mid-size feature or application design development (spanning 2-3 sprints) to completion.
- Serve as a development lead on medium-scale projects and support larger efforts.
- Actively participate in SCRUM team activities, including story and epic grooming, resolving dependencies, and ensuring end-to-end considerations in story-pointing.
- Apply shift-left principles, prepare and code BDD scripts, and create data dependencies for all testing types (including E2E) in a CI/CD environment.
- Conduct virtualized testing based on environment and microservice availability, collaborating with the virtualized testing framework team.
- Coach technical and non-technical teams on unit testing, continuous integration, and E2E quality testing throughout the product lifecycle.
- Ensure 100% feasible automation test coverage, including edge cases, by leveraging industry best practices.
- Analyze and troubleshoot coding, application performance, and design challenges.
- Research root causes of development and performance concerns, and resolve defects.
- Participate in design discussions as a key decision-maker, driving design decisions based on application code knowledge and technology experience.
- Turn complex application designs into well-written applications with limited guidance.
- Partner with industry vendors to support Digital architecture, identifying opportunities to increase development velocity and learning.
- Participate in the full development lifecycle, identifying dependencies between agile and waterfall delivery, and addressing test plan execution and software quality needs.
- Influence strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel, and services, requiring strong communication and diplomacy skills.
- Communicate progress, anticipate bottlenecks, escalate issues/risks, and mitigate them at multiple levels.
- Resolve discordant views through constructive dialogue and optimize processes across teams.
- Review metrics proactively and seek new mechanisms for visibility to align programs with organizational objectives.
- Continuously assess development processes, test plans, and operations to improve concurrent project delivery.
- Streamline or eliminate redundant processes in architecture, build, delivery, or production operations.
- Share knowledge through forums (e.g., brown bags, engineering forums) and pursue industry certifications.
- Assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, policies, and ethical standards.
- Build and implement processes for continuous improvement of applications, systems, and collaboration.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in a product development or product management environment.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, prioritization, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
- Data-driven and results-oriented mindset.
- Experience delivering projects using agile methodologies.
- Experience leading large culture change initiatives.
- Experience leading infrastructure programs.
- Skilled at working with third-party service providers.

- Deep understanding of technical requirements for solutions being built.
- Understanding of engineering needs across the system lifecycle, including build, maintenance, and operation.
- Proficiency in information modeling, data structures, and algorithms.
- Understanding of system dependencies, including hardware, platform, OS, performance, load requirements, and upstream/downstream contingencies.
- Advanced understanding of main system flows and how systems integrate to achieve business objectives.
- Assist in developing standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation to ensure adherence to architecture blueprints.
- Participate in design discussions as a key decision-maker, driving design decisions based on application code knowledge.
- Ability to turn complex application designs into well-written applications with minimal guidance.

Skills
- Experience with functional and API test automation, test script creation, and modification using frameworks (e.g., BDD, JUnit, JMeter, Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, Jenkins).
- Experience writing unit tests using automated TDD/BDD and E2E test suites for all components.
- Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, ALM, Confluence, Zephyr, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
- Experience with CI-CD pipelines.
- Experience with Java 8, GemFire, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Responsive Web Design.
- Knowledge of cloud-based development, particularly Cloud Foundry in a PaaS environment (e.g., PCF).
- Working knowledge of requirement and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Zephyr).
- Experience writing code in Java or Python.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or comparable work experience.
Pay
Full-time salary range: $107,120.00 - $160,680.00. In addition to salary, eligible employees may receive discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
