Clearsulting · Greater Cleveland · Yesterday
Finance$150k–$200k/yrFull-time

About The Role

As our Digital Reporting & Compliance (DR&C) practice continues to expand globally, we are seeking an alliance and sales leader who will shape the next phase of our growth. This role is more than traditional business development. You will own our strategic alliance with Workiva, lead our commercial strategy, and drive the end-to-end sales engine for one of our fastest-growing practices. You will cultivate relationships, identify market opportunities, build a high-performing commercial team, and partner closely across the DR&C leadership and wider team, other practices, and firm leadership to translate market demand into profitable growth. Success in this role requires someone who thrives at the intersection of partnerships, sales leadership, consulting, and strategy – someone who enjoys building organizations as much as closing transformational deals.

Location & Work Environment

Clearsulting is headquartered in Cleveland, OH, with additional offices located in Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; and Dallas, TX. Other cities are welcome remotely. Team members residing within a 45 minute commuting radius of a Clearsulting office, we expect 8 days of in-person work per month, allowing flexibility choosing these days to accommodate client meetings, team syncs and individual schedules. Travel Expectations: Up to 25%

What You'll Do

  • Own the DR&C practice's commercial performance, including pipeline generation, bookings, strategic account growth, and market expansion.
  • Develop and execute the practice's go-to-market strategy in partnership with DR&C leadership and firmwide stakeholders.
  • Serve as the relationship owner for the Workiva strategic alliance, strengthening executive relationships and expanding joint market opportunities.
  • Create and manage joint business plans, pipeline strategies, marketing initiatives, executive engagement programs, and conference approaches with Workiva.
  • Lead complex consulting sales opportunities from qualification through contract execution, ensuring opportunities are well-positioned for win rate, profitability, and long-term client success.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional pursuit teams across solution architecture, delivery, subject matter experts, pricing, legal, and executive sponsorship.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and lead a high-performing commercial team as the practice continues to scale globally.
  • Establish repeatable sales processes, pipeline governance, forecasting discipline, and performance management practices.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align commercial priorities with delivery capacity, solution quality, strategic investments, and client needs.
  • Share market intelligence, competitive insights, and client feedback to inform service development while representing the DR&C practice internally and externally.

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise software, consulting, professional services, alliance management, or complex solution sales, with a track record of leading consulting or technology sales pursuits.
  • Experience selling Workiva solutions with knowledge of Financial Reporting, Internal Audit, SOX, ESG, Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, or Controls Transformation.
  • Experience managing strategic technology partnerships or alliances.
  • Experience owning sales targets and consistently meeting commercial objectives.
  • Strong executive presence with the communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills needed to influence senior stakeholders, build trusted client relationships and translate complex business and regulatory challenges into compelling client solutions.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams through complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, from pursuit strategy through commercial execution.
  • 2+ years of experience hiring, developing, and leading high-performing teams.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience delivering or implementing Workiva or similar types of technologies.
  • Existing executive relationships within Fortune 1000 organizations.
  • Familiarity with alliance ecosystems.
  • Bachelor's, MBA or advanced degree.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Paid parental leave
  • Retirement plans
  • Flexible work environment
  • Cell phone reimbursement
  • Access to mental health apps
  • Life insurance and disability coverage
  • Opportunities for ad hoc bonuses
