Digital Print Operator - 2nd Shift
About the Role
As a Digital Print Operator, you will operate high-speed roll-to-roll digital printers, ensuring the quality, accuracy, and efficiency of print jobs in a fast-paced production environment. This role requires attention to detail, technical skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards for quality and safety.
Schedule
Shift: 6:00 pm – 6:00 am; Rotating Schedule. Mandatory overtime is required during high-volume production periods and other times of increased workload. Flexibility to work extended shifts and/or weekends is essential.
Responsibilities
- Operate state-of-the-art high-speed roll-to-roll digital printers at maximum speed.
- Accomplish production targets while upholding rigorous quality and safety standards.
- Configure, code, and initiate individual print jobs.
- Monitor quality of job output for color, position accuracy, and overall print quality.
- Mitigate waste of paper inventory.
- Perform all maintenance tasks and report service issues to the shift supervisor.
- Report problems promptly through appropriate channels.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Cross-train on other equipment within other departments as production needs require.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Experience with digital presses or direct mail is a plus, but training will be provided.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to read and comprehend job orders and client specifications.
- Ability to apply written instructions for machine set-up and maintenance.
- Excellent attention to detail, including color perception and recognition.
- Proven history of punctuality and a strong work ethic.
- Applicants must successfully pass a background check.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Requires occasional bending at the waist.
- Requires stooping on occasion.
- Repetitious pinching and gripping.
- Ability to lift and move boxes up to 50 pounds.
