Digital Practice Manager
About the role
Stantec's Environmental Services (ES) North America (NA) team is seeking to fill a Digital Practice Manager position as part of our Digital Practice Team (DPT). This position is NA wide covering ES projects in Canada and the United States.
Responsibilities
Led the Business Case Analysis (BCA) process for ES NA digital ideas or projects. Tasks may include: creating BCAs that include written descriptions and financial analysis, tracking BCA approvals, setting up cost accumulation projects in US and CA BCs, progress reporting and financial accounting, setting up One Drive / collaboration folders to consolidate documentation / approvals, leading Request for New Technology Solution (RTS) process for ES NA, reviewing RTS Planners, creating BCAs for new requests, monitoring / maintaining RTS Tracker, managing ES NA Software Assets, working with Procurement staff and BC leaders for software license renewals, managing ES NA MS Copilot Licenses, serving as ES NA point of contact for software procurement questions, coordinating with Practice Technology Services Group (PTSG) as needed, maintaining ES inventory of gold, silver, and bronze level software, reporting on counts, cost, etc. as requested, managing ES NA Digital Ideas, leading cross-functional team coordination, promoting consistency between ES Resource Teams and the Digital Practice Team, leading communication and soliciting information about evolving business needs and opportunities for process or technology improvements, working with ES Technical Excellence leaders to define data and/or technology roadmaps for the various Technical Disciplines across ES North America, confirming submitted BCAs align with roadmaps, assisting with organization of reporting standards and policies for all ES NA digital projects, supporting Digital Business Center Operations Leader as requested.
People Manager - Manage and mentor assigned staff on the ES NA Digital Practice Team.
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional services experience, including required experience in environmental consulting.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, computer science, data/information management information systems, business, or a related field.
Technology or Data Certifications (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft certifications, data governance credentials) helpful but not required.
Qualifications
The typical office environment involves working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
Skills
Project management expertise, solid understanding of industry technology, ability to create a stronger connected data environment with standard operating procedures and policies.
