Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day requests, handling content planning, creation, and publishing across Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram
- Develop and execute social media campaigns to promote events, new programs, and special announcements
- Cook up and execute special projects and weekly tasks with social media campaign freelancers
- Upload events videos to YouTube
- Draft, design, test, and deploy 1-4 email newsletters per week using email marketing platform Emma
- Absorb and craft compelling copy and subject lines that engage diverse audiences including researchers, students, industry partners, and the general public
- Create email templates and graphics that align with brand guidelines
- Do A/B testing to optimize subject lines, content, and send times
- Update social and email templates, signatures, and branding to reflect the merged organization
- Create graphics, videos, and other multimedia content using design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
Skills
- Proven experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Emma, or similar)
- Experience with social publishing and listening platforms like Brandwatch, Khoros, or Sprout Social
- Familiarity with higher education, research, or technology sector communications preferred
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree and at least three years of relevant digital media or communications experience, or combination of education and relevant experience
