About the role

The Director, Digital Excellence and Amplification is responsible for defining, operationalizing, and scaling best-in-class digital campaign frameworks and paid media amplification across business areas, therapy areas, and markets for Global Corporate Affairs. As part of the Centre of Digital Excellence, this leader will establish and maintain standards, playbooks, and operating models that drive consistency, speed, and performance while ensuring compliance and alignment with corporate priorities. The role partners closely across business areas, therapy areas, and markets and supports a portfolio of agency relationships to ensure program excellence and alignment. The Director works closely with GNS, GBS, and Commercial counterparts to drive internal partnership and collaboration.

The hiring manager is looking for a builder/operations-focused marketing professional to help improve and operationalize the company’s paid media infrastructure. This is not a creative/campaign development role. The person will focus on building processes, systems, and ways of working so the team can operate more effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Social media operations and campaign management
  • Digital frameworks and standards: Develop and operationalize Centre of Digital Excellence modular digital campaign frameworks (strategy, audience, creative, channels, measurement) to ensure consistency across business areas, therapy areas, and markets, with clear governance and change control.
  • Agency ecosystem management: Manage and coordinate digital agency relationships, including scope development, onboarding, performance oversight, rate/fee governance, and integration with internal teams and platforms; align work to corporate priorities and ways of working.
  • Paid amplification strategy and governance: Define and oversee Centre of Digital Excellence paid media strategy (search, programmatic, social, video, native, HCP networks, endemic/non-endemic), establishing guardrails, investment principles, and governance to ensure compliant, efficient media deployment.
  • Measurement & Performance: Partner with Brand team to align KPIs and northstar metrics across 3A framework; partner with analytics to implement consistent taxonomy, tagging, and dashboards; drive media mix, attribution, and optimization cadences.
  • Compliance and risk management: Ensure programs and amplification adhere to regulatory, privacy, and GNS requirements; maintain documentation and audit readiness.
  • Change management and enablement: Lead enablement (training, office hours, communities of practice) to drive adoption of Centre of Digital Excellence frameworks and tools; champion change management and value realization.
  • Budgeting and resource optimization: Own budget planning for program excellence and amplification initiatives; optimize investment across channels, partners, and markets; track ROI.
  • Delivering program excellence: Ensure successful Centre of Digital Excellence framework adoption, drive performance uplift, governance effectiveness, and operational efficiency across corporate digital programs – while ensuring capability building across GCA.

Requirements

  • Experience with LinkedIn Business Manager
  • Experience with Meta Business Manager
  • Experience with Sprinklr
  • Ability to manage and consolidate operations across approximately 40 agencies
  • Experience working in a multi-agency environment
  • Strong systems/process mindset and change-management capabilities

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years in digital marketing, omnichannel, or media, with experience leading large, cross-functional programs; experience in matrixed, global organizations.
  • Agency experience is highly desirable.
  • Pharmaceutical experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strategy and execution: Proven ability to design and scale digital frameworks, operating models, and paid media strategies across multiple brands and geographies.
  • Agency leadership: Demonstrated success managing agency ecosystems, contracts/scopes, and performance against SLAs and KPIs.
  • Measurement expertise: Strong command of campaign analytics, tagging/taxonomy, experimentation frameworks, and dashboarding; evidence of driving optimization at scale.
  • Governance and compliance: Familiarity with privacy, regulatory, and GNS processes; ability to implement compliant guardrails without sacrificing agility.
  • Platforms and tools: Working knowledge of social media and marketing platforms.
  • Leadership and influence: Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and change leadership; ability to align diverse teams and drive adoption.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Pay

$103 per hour
