Digital Manager, Remote (Advocacy / Immigration Policy)
About the Role
A national business coalition that promotes common-sense immigration reform is hiring a Digital Manager to lead its social media presence and digital content strategy. The coalition's membership includes CEOs, business associations, small business owners, hospitals, and universities, and it works in partnership with diverse immigrant advocates to support pro-immigrant legislation at the state and federal levels. The organization operates sector-focused councils across agriculture, healthcare, construction, Hispanic communities, and food.
Responsibilities
Developing and implementing a comprehensive multi-platform social media strategy aligned with the organization's mission and advocacy priorities
Leading daily content creation across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, and emerging channels, including messaging, videos, graphics, and explainers
Supporting hyperlocal and sector-specific digital campaigns and events in response to legislative, media, and industry developments
Producing high-impact short-form and long-form video content, owning creative direction, scripting, storyboarding, shooting, and editing
Monitoring political developments, news cycles, Congressional activity, and immigration-related trends to identify rapid-response moments and publish timely content
Building and managing an engaged online community of digital creators, immigrant advocates, entrepreneurs, business leaders, policymakers, and aligned influencers
Managing cross-platform comments, messages, and audience engagement
Coinciding with external freelancers, videographers, and digital vendors
Supporting targeted storytelling and visibility campaigns at state, local, and national levels
Training and equipping staff, coalition partners, and spokespeople on effective social content
Capturing on-the-ground moments from events, briefings, and actions for rapid deployment
Tracking and analyzing engagement data across platforms to refine messaging and improve campaign impact
Managing an editorial calendar across the broader organization and its individual sector councils
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, with minimum 5 years of experience in social media, digital content creation, or digital communications
Proven track record growing social audiences and producing high-performing content, especially on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
Strong ability to record and edit video in a fast-paced environment for social platforms
Strong editorial judgment for when and how to respond to political, cultural, and media moments
Strong writing and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate policy and lived experience into persuasive social content
Deep understanding of social media strategies and comfort using analytics to inform decisions
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Skilled in video shooting, editing, and production tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, CapCut, Canva, etc.)
Experience with Google Analytics, LinkedIn, Muckrack, X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Hootsuite, and Sprout Social
Knowledge of immigration issues at national, state, and local levels
Experience with EveryAction or similar systems preferred
Competency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Asana or similar platforms
