About the role

KOMO/KUNS is seeking a Digital Executive Producer to lead and support the digital and social teams in producing high-quality content.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise digital producers
  • Collaborate with other newsroom staff, review scripts, and provide feedback
  • Guide and support the digital team and the overall newsroom
  • Nurture a positive, productive, and creative team environment
  • Ensure digital/social platforms are relevant, competitive, and timely
  • Make sure digital/social platforms serve the audience

Requirements

  • Management experience creating engaging content across multiple platforms
  • Extraordinary people skills with an emphasis on coaching, motivating, and teaching
  • Strong understanding of how to grow and maintain digital/social traffic
  • Two to five years in a television newsroom environment or equivalent
  • A college degree in Journalism or a related field
  • Strong writing skills and a proven track record for getting results on station goals
  • Understanding how to interpret content brand without resorting to clickbait
  • Utilize digital analytics and apply them to set goals

Pay

The base salary compensation range for this role is $90,000 to $98,940. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
