Digital Designer, Web and Product

About the role

The role is a contract position starting immediately, with the potential to convert to full-time. It is open to candidates who are currently located in New York or are willing to work remotely, with a preferred EST timezone.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital design on projects from research through production-ready UI
• Design user flows, interaction patterns, and interfaces that are intuitive, functional, and visually strong across web and mobile
• Build and maintain design systems and reusable components that scale across a product
• Work closely with product leads and engineers to ensure designs are grounded in reality
• Iterate based on feedback and maintain a clear point of view on what works
• Use tools like Claude and Figma to prototype ideas and directions early

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in digital, UI/UX, or product design, preferably with consumer tech, SaaS, or AI-driven products
• Proficiency in Figma with strong skills in user research, user flows, and interaction design
• Experience designing interfaces across web and mobile with a focus on both function and craft
• Experience building design systems and reusable components
• Ability to translate brand systems into functional, scalable product UI
• Comfort working with product managers and engineers in fast-paced cycles
• Active use of AI tools (e.g. Flora, Weavy, MidJourney, Claude, Paper) to accelerate ideation and workflows
• A high attention to detail and a commitment to quality at every scale

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio showcasing digital design work across products and interfaces
• A short note on your design process and the kinds of problems you want to work on next

Skills

• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles
• Experience with design systems and component libraries
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or similar design tools
• Experience with AI tools for design and prototyping
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
