Digital Designer, Web and Product
About the role
The role is a contract position starting immediately, with the potential to convert to full-time. It is open to candidates who are currently located in New York or are willing to work remotely, with a preferred EST timezone.
Responsibilities
- Lead digital design on projects from research through production-ready UI
- Design user flows, interaction patterns, and interfaces that are intuitive, functional, and visually strong across web and mobile
- Build and maintain design systems and reusable components that scale across a product
- Work closely with product leads and engineers to ensure designs are grounded in reality
- Iterate based on feedback and maintain a clear point of view on what works
- Use tools like Claude and Figma to prototype ideas and directions early
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in digital, UI/UX, or product design, preferably with consumer tech, SaaS, or AI-driven products
- Proficiency in Figma with strong skills in user research, user flows, and interaction design
- Experience designing interfaces across web and mobile with a focus on both function and craft
- Experience building design systems and reusable components
- Ability to translate brand systems into functional, scalable product UI
- Comfort working with product managers and engineers in fast-paced cycles
- Active use of AI tools (e.g. Flora, Weavy, MidJourney, Claude, Paper) to accelerate ideation and workflows
- A high attention to detail and a commitment to quality at every scale
Qualifications
- Strong portfolio showcasing digital design work across products and interfaces
- A short note on your design process and the kinds of problems you want to work on next
Skills
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles
- Experience with design systems and component libraries
- Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or similar design tools
- Experience with AI tools for design and prototyping
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
