Digital Content Producer

About the role

Responsible for content creation on all platforms. Works closely with the Digital Executive Producer and Assignment desk on content.

Responsibilities

• Generate and write stories and develop stories/videos for various platforms.
• Work with the Digital Executive Producer and Assignment desk on content.
• Execute news strategies and goals.
• Show flexibility and on-the-spot problem solving abilities.
• Proficient with non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and newsroom systems, such as iNews.

Requirements

• Solid news judgment
• Compelling and accurate writing skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time
• Fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a newsroom is preferred
• A journalism degree is preferred

Skills

• Non-linear editing (i.e. Avid)
• Newsroom systems, such as iNews
