Digital Content Producer

About the role

The Digital Content Producer will join WLUK/WCWF’s dynamic multi-platform team. Our mission is to provide digital and social users with content that matters, impacting their lives uniquely.

Responsibilities

• Collect and confirm information from primary sources
• Write compelling and accurate copy on deadline
• Multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with team members
• Develop and execute digital and social media strategies
• Use non-linear editing software and newsroom systems
• Create video and graphic content for various platforms
• Work flexible hours including early mornings or evenings

Requirements

• Solid news judgment and ability to verify information
• Able to write engaging and accurate copy
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency with non-linear editing tools and newsroom systems
• Experience with video and graphic design for multiple platforms

Qualifications

• College degree in journalism, communications, or related field
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in digital content production
• Experience with Adobe, Avid, and iNews
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

Salary range: $40,000 - $60,000 annually
