KBAK/KBFX seeks a Digital Content Producer to join our team. We are looking for a candidate who is excited about producing news stories on multiple platforms. A successful candidate knows how to use analytics to guide story choices and understands the needs of different platforms. But first, you must know and love NEWS! Qualifications Strong writing and editing skills; newsroom experience preferredKnowledge of AP StyleAbility to create engaging digital and social media contentBasic photo editing skills; video production experience a plusStrong news judgment and ability to gather information from multiple sourcesExcellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAdaptable, coachable, and eager to learnBachelor's degree required Responsibilities Write, edit, publish, and update digital news content for KBAK/KBFX platformsCover breaking news across web, social media, video, and live platformsMonitor news sources to identify and develop timely storiesReport and produce original local content with compelling headlinesCollaborate with newsroom teams to coordinate digital coverageEnhance stories with multimedia, related content, and audience-focused storytellingCreate digital first and social media content that drives engagement and trafficEnsure website content remains accurate, current, and engagingExplore innovative storytelling tools and formatsUphold KBAK/KBFX’s editorial and journalistic standards across all platforms The base hourly compensation range for this role is $17.50 to $19.50 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
