Telemundo Reno (KXNV) serves the Reno/Sparks area, Northern Nevada, and parts of eastern California. KXNV broadcasts daily 6 pm and 11 pm Spanish-language newscasts on weekdays and is dedicated to community engagement through partnerships with local non-profit organizations.
About the Role
The Digital Content Manager is responsible for generating, editing, creating, and sharing content on the Telemundo station website, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts daily to help grow audiences.
Responsibilities
- Write and post news stories to the Telemundo Reno website and social media pages.
- Edit and proofread all local stories posted on kxnvreno.com.
- Discuss social media strategy with reporters and the creative services department.
- Pursue possible story ideas for reporters.
- Follow up on breaking news.
Requirements
- Bilingual speaker; fluency in Spanish required.
- Two years of prior newsroom experience preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with social media and ARC is a plus.
