About the role
Carex is partnering with a Financial Services industry partner to hire a Digital Communications Lead responsible for advancing digital customer engagement through marketing automation and digital communications platforms. This role will consult and collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop and optimize digital customer experience strategies, translate business objectives into scalable technology solutions, and improve customer engagement across email, SMS, and other digital channels.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a consultant and subject matter expert for marketing automation, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Sitecore, and related digital technologies.
- Manage complex digital communication initiatives, including email content development, customer journey design and implementation, automated workflows, landing pages, templates, and campaign optimization.
- Lead consultation sessions with business and cross-functional partners to understand objectives, define requirements, and recommend effective digital solutions.
- Lead and implement multiple large- and small-scale marketing automation projects from planning through completion.
- Troubleshoot day-to-day platform and campaign issues while helping team members solve technical and process-related challenges.
- Mentor, teach, and coach team members on technology, processes, marketing automation practices, and business acumen.
- Develop technical and process recommendations, training materials, and supporting documentation.
- Proactively advise Marketing and cross-functional partners on marketing automation best practices, digital engagement strategies, platform capabilities, and A/B testing.
- Develop recommendations for digital governance and contact strategies while collaborating with and training internal partners and team members.
- Partner with analytics, technical SMEs, and digital product owners to evaluate digital communication performance and identify metrics aligned with objectives and key results.
- Establish analytics and reporting requirements to measure customer outcomes, experience health, and digital communication effectiveness.
- Manage multiple concurrent priorities and projects with a high degree of independence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in digital communications, including email and SMS marketing, digital engagement, direct-response consumer marketing, business strategy, marketing automation, or Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud.
- Demonstrated experience developing digital engagement strategies, techniques, tools, and measurement approaches.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Sales Cloud, or another marketing automation platform.
- Knowledge of email HTML, AMPscript, and JavaScript for creating responsive and dynamic email experiences.
- Demonstrated success managing technical and creative projects.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a diverse, project-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to or experience with Sitecore database structures and Google Analytics.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist or Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant certification.
- Knowledge of Workfront, Azure DevOps, or other project and workflow management tools.
- Experience with Journey Builder, Automation Studio, CloudPages, and Salesforce Sales or Service Cloud.
- Experience teaching technical material, delivering training, or developing technical documentation.
- Leadership experience through direct people management and/or leading project teams.
Pay
$63–109/hour.
