We are seeking a Communications & Digital Content Lead to drive communication strategies supporting large-scale business, process, and technology transformation initiatives.
About the role
This role is responsible for developing and executing communication plans that increase awareness, engagement, and adoption among stakeholders. The ideal candidate will create compelling, audience-focused content while managing a centralized communications hub that serves as the primary source of information, resources, training materials, and project updates.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain communication strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, editorial calendars, and content roadmaps.
- Create and distribute recurring newsletters and organizational updates.
- Draft executive communications, leadership messaging, manager toolkits, talking points, and employee announcements.
- Develop audience-specific messaging that clearly explains project objectives, impacts, benefits, and required actions.
- Lead the design, launch, governance, and ongoing management of a digital communications hub or intranet site.
- Create and maintain landing pages for training materials, process documentation, templates, videos, support resources, and knowledge articles.
- Establish and enforce content publishing standards, approval workflows, version control processes, accessibility requirements, and content review schedules.
- Develop FAQs, milestone updates, awareness campaigns, success stories, and adoption-focused communications.
- Coordinate multimedia content, including executive videos, scripts, storyboards, transcripts, and supporting communications materials.
- Monitor communication effectiveness through metrics such as page views, engagement rates, downloads, and stakeholder feedback.
- Conduct surveys, interviews, focus groups, and message testing to assess audience understanding and improve communications.
- Ensure all communications align with brand standards, accessibility guidelines, confidentiality requirements, and editorial best practices.
- Develop communication toolkits for managers, stakeholders, and change champions.
- Manage distribution lists, audience segmentation, content governance, and communication updates related to approved process changes.
- Support project launches through go-live communications, issue updates, awareness campaigns, office-hours promotion, and post-launch reinforcement activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience developing communications for organizational change, business transformation, process improvement, or technology initiatives.
- Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and content development skills.
- Experience translating technical concepts into clear, engaging communications for diverse audiences.
- Experience managing digital content platforms, intranet sites, SharePoint environments, or internal communication portals.
- Advanced graphic design and content creation skills using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, PowerPoint, or similar platforms.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, deadlines, and approval processes in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting software development, technology modernization, cybersecurity, governance, digital transformation, or process improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Stream, PowerPoint, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar collaboration and content management tools.
- Experience creating executive-level video, multimedia, and digital communication content.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive communication practices.
- Experience leveraging analytics and engagement metrics to optimize communication strategies and improve stakeholder adoption.
