This position is hybrid and located in Charlotte, NC. Position Overview The Digital Business Partner (DBP) serves as the strategic interface between business functions and IT, ensuring technology investments deliver measurable business value and support enterprise strategy. This role operates as a trusted advisor to functional leadership, translating business strategy into prioritized technology outcomes, shaping demand, and co-owning value realization across the portfolio. The DBP plays a critical role in advancing digital, data, AI, and automation capabilities across the enterprise. Technology Business Partners align technology capabilities to business priorities, drive adoption of new digital capabilities, and help ensure technology initiatives deliver measurable outcomes. Key Responsibilities What You Will Do Strategy Alignment Participate in business strategy, OKR, and annual planning processes (AOP / LRP)Translate functional strategy into multi-year technology and capability roadmapsIdentify digital, data, AI, and automation opportunities that improve performance and cost positionServe as strategic advisor to functional leadership on technology trends and opportunitiesDBPs typically collaborate with functional leaders to understand strategy and develop aligned technology roadmaps. Demand Shaping & Prioritization Shape demand before intake through early problem framing and value qualificationFacilitate prioritization using value, risk, and capacity trade-offsTranslate business needs into technology investment priorities and solution directionPartner with Architecture, Product, and Delivery to ensure solution fit and scalabilityDemand management and translating business needs into technology priorities are core DBP responsibilities. Value Articulation & Realization Lead business case development and ROI modelingDefine measurable success metrics prior to funding approvalTrack value realization post-deployment and drive corrective actions where neededProvide portfolio transparency and value reporting to functional leadershipDBPs are expected to quantify value and ensure technology initiatives deliver measurable outcomes. Executive Partnership Maintain strong executive relationships within assigned functionsAct as primary liaison between business and IT leadershipProvide insight, best practices, and perspective in leadership decision forumsPartner with Change, HR, and Transformation teams to drive adoption and business outcomesDBPs serve as the primary bridge between business units and IT and build trusted stakeholder relationships. Roadmap Creation & Co-Ownership Co-create and co-own annual and multi-year technology roadmaps with business leadersConnect roadmap investments to strategy, demand signals, and value realization outcomesSupport portfolio reviews and investment governance forumsEnsure roadmap alignment with enterprise architecture and platform strategiesDBPs commonly co-develop multi-year roadmaps and align them to enterprise strategy and architecture. Supply Chain Domain Responsibility Summary Responsible for enabling and supporting technology capabilities across the end-to-end supply chain value stream, including demand and supply planning, manufacturing integration, procurement, inventory management, transportation and logistics, warehouse operations, global trade compliance, and customer fulfillment. This domain focuses on improving service, reliability, efficiency, visibility, and cost performance through business process excellence, data-driven decision making, automation, and digital innovation.
