Digital Automation Platform Manager
About the role
Lead, coach, and develop a team of platform administrators, developers, and citizen-development enablement resources; set goals, provide feedback, and support career development.
Own the strategy, roadmap, and operating model for enterprise low-code automation platforms across Microsoft and Google ecosystems.
Establish and enforce platform governance, including environment/project provisioning, data loss prevention (DLP) and policy controls, access management, standards, naming conventions, and lifecycle management.
Oversee platform administration, monitoring, reliability, capacity, licensing/subscriptions, and service health; manage incidents and problem management with IT partners.
Drive solution delivery using platform capabilities (apps, workflows/automations, integrations, bots/agents where applicable, and analytics) from intake through design, build, test, release, and support.
Define and maintain reusable components, templates, connectors/integration patterns, and ALM/CI-CD approaches appropriate for low-code solutions.
Partner with Information Security, Risk/Compliance, Data Governance, and Enterprise Architecture to ensure secure-by-design and compliant implementations.
Enable and govern citizen development programs, including training, community of practice, intake/triage, solution reviews, and guardrails.
Identify automation opportunities and measure outcomes (e.g., cycle time reduction, quality improvements, adoption, and ROI); maintain KPI dashboards and executive reporting.
Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with Microsoft/Google support as needed; evaluate and recommend platform add-ons and related tooling.
Develop and manage budget forecasts related to licensing, tooling, and training; optimize spend while meeting business needs.
Document standards, procedures, and reference architectures; ensure operational readiness and knowledge transfer.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 8 years of experience delivering business applications, workflow automation, or analytics solutions, with at least 2 years leading teams and/or platform programs.
- Working knowledge of identity and access management, information security principles, and data governance concepts.
- Experience integrating SaaS platforms and enterprise systems using APIs, connectors, gateways, or middleware/iPaaS patterns.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate business problems into scalable platform solutions and standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Power Platform certifications (e.g., Power Platform Solution Architect, Power Platform Functional Consultant, Power BI, or Power Platform Developer) or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
- Experience implementing a Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) and operating citizen-developer programs at scale.
- Experience with Google Workspace administration and security controls relevant to automation solutions.
- Familiarity with SDLC practices for low-code platforms, including testing approaches, release management, and support models.
- Experience with data platforms and analytics ecosystems (e.g., Azure, BigQuery) and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with application development standards, practices and related platforms.
- Knowledge of integration platforms and best practices when it comes to application and data integration.
- Demonstrated experience building KPI frameworks and reporting on adoption, value, and risk.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (administration and/or solution delivery), including governance concepts such as environments, DLP policies, connectors, and ALM.
- Experience with Google’s low-code/automation ecosystem (e.g., AppSheet and/or Apps Script) and governance/administration practices within Google Workspace.
