Digital Analytics Manager

About the Role
The Manager, Digital Analytics owns defined workstreams within Flagstar's digital measurement and analytics capability across web, mobile app, and digital marketing channels. This individual contributor role is responsible for executing instrumentation, reporting, and platform work within the established measurement framework, exercising independent judgment on methodology, analysis, and recommendations to stakeholders. The role partners with development teams, channel owners, and marketing stakeholders to ensure accurate digital data collection, actionable reporting, and met measurement requirements.
Responsibilities
- Digital Measurement and Governance
- Execute digital measurement work within the established framework and standards, including event taxonomy, KPI definitions, and tagging governance.
- Partner with the Digital Experience team to support measurement requirements, including building and maintaining abandonment, completion, and adoption reporting at the screen and field level.
- Contribute to the maintenance of the measurement framework, flagging gaps, inconsistencies, and coverage issues.
- Apply data governance practices to all assigned instrumentation and reporting work, adhering to tagging standards, naming conventions, and data layer specifications.
- Define instrumentation requirements for assigned digital experiences, features, and campaigns, ensuring measurement is specified before development begins.
- Support integration of digital measurement into cross-channel attribution and campaign performance reporting.
- Monitor developments in privacy regulation, browser signal loss, and consent management; surface implications with supporting analysis.
- Tag Management, Instrumentation, and Data Collection
- Implement, maintain, and QA tags within the tag management environment across assigned digital properties.
- Build and maintain client-side and server-side data collection configurations for digital analytics, paid media tracking, and consent management.
- Execute first-party data collection implementations, including server-side tagging and consent mode configurations.
- Contribute to data layer specifications for assigned web and mobile app development projects, translating measurement requirements into implementable specifications.
- Conduct tag audits and QA, documenting findings and escalating data quality issues.
- Serve as an analytics technical resource for development and engineering partners, translating measurement needs into implementation requirements.
- Analytics Platform Administration and Ecosystem Management
- Administer and maintain assigned configurations within digital analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, GA4, and related tools).
- Support vendor relationship management by tracking platform performance, documenting issues, and preparing materials for escalation.
- Identify and document opportunities to enhance the digital analytics technology stack, including CDP integrations and AI-assisted analytics tools.
- Maintain platform health, including user access, data feed integrity, processing rules, and downstream integrations.
- Monitor platform changes, browser updates, and iOS/Android policy shifts affecting data collection; flag impacts with recommended responses.
- Reporting, Visualization, and Insight Delivery
- Build and maintain digital performance dashboards and reporting views for assigned stakeholder groups.
- Develop reporting in BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau) connecting digital behavioral data to marketing and business outcomes.
- Analyze digital data to identify friction points, drop-off patterns, and engagement signals; frame findings and initial recommendations.
- Support the definition of reporting cadence, metric definitions, and visualization standards.
- Execute measurement plans and results analysis for A/B and multivariate testing programs.
- Cross-Functional Partnership and Enablement
- Serve as a digital analytics resource for marketing, digital experience, and technology stakeholders, providing analysis, platform guidance, and measurement support.
- Develop training materials, documentation, and user guides for assigned platforms and reporting tools.
- Apply compliance, legal, and privacy requirements to all assigned digital data collection work.
- Contribute to the broader Marketing Analytics team by sharing findings and supporting cross-channel projects.
- Perform special projects and additional duties as required.
- Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Education: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in Marketing, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience in digital analytics, marketing analytics, or digital measurement, with demonstrated proficiency in tag management, analytics platform configuration, and reporting.
- Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining tags in Adobe Launch (Adobe Tags) and/or Google Tag Manager, including server-side container configuration.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Analytics and/or GA4, including report configuration, variable mapping, and data validation.
- Familiarity with privacy-first measurement approaches, including consent management platforms, server-side tagging, and consent mode.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and reporting support.
- Experience building dashboards and reporting views in BI platforms such as Power BI, Dynamics, or Tableau.
- Ability to partner with web and mobile app development teams on data layer and instrumentation requirements.
- Familiarity with paid digital media measurement, including search, social, programmatic, and affiliate tracking architectures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a related field.
- Familiarity with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), or equivalent CDP environments.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
- Experience with Python or R for data processing or analysis automation.
- Google Analytics certification, Adobe Analytics certification, or equivalent platform credentials.
- Financial services or other regulated industry experience with working knowledge of applicable data privacy requirements.
Skills
- Hands-on proficiency in digital analytics instrumentation, including tag implementation, data layer contribution, and QA within an established governance framework.
- Working proficiency in Adobe Analytics and/or GA4, with the ability to configure, maintain, and validate platform settings and reporting.
- Familiarity with the evolving digital measurement landscape, including privacy signal loss and consent management.
- Analytical judgment to identify metric changes, frame recommendations, and escalate unclear root causes.
- Skill in building accurate, timely dashboards and reporting views for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work across marketing, technology, and analytics stakeholders, translating business needs into technical requirements.
- Ability to develop training materials and documentation supporting stakeholder self-service.
- Working knowledge of data privacy regulations (CCPA, GLBA, and emerging state privacy laws) applied to day-to-day work.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively and communicating status.
- Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders, aligning efforts with enterprise goals.

Pay
Pay Range: $89,994.00 - $146,002.00
