DIETITIAN, SPECIALIST

Location: Morrison Healthcare at MUSC Ashley River Tower, Charleston, SC – Acute Care setting

About the Role

Seeking a Specialist Dietitian to provide inpatient nutrition care for Medical-Surgical ICU. The role requires obtaining CNSC certification within one year. The Registered Dietitian will be trained on TPN and Cortrak tube team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients in a designated specialty area to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
• Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
• Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care
• Contribute to Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
• Collaborate with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
• Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable

Requirements

• Must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or CDR exam eligible
• Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
• Specialty certification required when applicable (CNSC certification must be obtained within one year)
• Two years of work experience in specialty preferred

Schedule

Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends.
